Great Wrecks of the Great Lake ![]()
by Frederick Stonehouse - This, Stonehouse's first attempt at cataloging the shipwrecks of
Lake Superior, is a good piece of work for its time. Despite some errors and
incomplete information, the book remains quite interesting and useful, although Wolff's
later work covered much of the material in more detail. Written at a time when few
encyclopedic books about shipwrecks existed, it is now a collectors item. A very few
copies were even produced in hardcover. This long out of print book is very rare,
but copies do occasionally turn up online.
